Combined, we have over 50 years hand-on experience working with young people in high school settings. We know adolescents and their issues inside out… not only professionally but from a family perspective too because between us we’re parenting 6 teens ourselves!

Shari Brewer
School Family Connect Co-Founder
Shari Brewer began her career in education as a teacher of high school maths and English. She’s also been a Special Education Teacher and District Behaviour Support Consultant.
She writes as a digital content creator and her work has been published on authority sites as well as her own websites. Her passion for supporting teens and their parents is reflected in the part-time student services role she has at a Sunshine Coast high school.
Shari has two teen sons and a primary school daughter and understands the challenges faced by families first hand.

Steve Plummer spent nearly 20 years at the chalkface as a teacher, Head of Department and Deputy Principal at schools from the Queensland outback to the Sunhsine Coast.
The one time freelance journalist now works in marketing and is widely recognized as one of Australia’s leading copywriters helping business owners grow and prosper.
The father of four teens, he maintains a strong interest in the development of young people and is actively involved in community sporting clubs as a coach and volunteer
